this is as close to monochromatic as one can get; lovely the soft contrasts and how shadows help to blend model and her clothes into the brocade wallpaper. the pearl skin color becomes the focus against all the matte back- and fore-ground. lovely, lovely.
i had some more time to think about this photo. guess it's mesmerizing. i want the camera to shift to another place without that bronze plate (I can live with the light fixture) and change shoes to something like chukkha boots. The plate and shoes call way too much attention to themselves; instead, focus on that monochromatic look. Plus, it seems that texture is important here, with brocade wllppr and the ribbed sweater. But we let the gloss of the plate and boots interfere. That way we have only the texture of the cloth and the pearl of her skin.
She is so gorgeous, and you capture her so well. All your captures of Mia are fantastic. This whole series is outstanding. Somewhere there is a very lucky man who can proudly boast that she is with him. I can't compliment you enough on these pic. Masterfully done.
I have a red haired dog named Ginger. She's a rescue hound. She doesn't rescue people, I rescued her. Long story but I'll make it short by not telling it to you...unless you beg. I don't think I've ever had anything in my life that other people begged me for. What an odd thing to realize? I have never been the source of jealousy or coveting in anyone else. Nobody what the stuff I had. Nobody wanted to be me...
Here's the point. I'm sitting here watching a divinely frozen intensely hot woman who is younger than any of my children and almost as old as some of my grandchildre.
