Yes, Anjou has breast implants. I know a lot of people see this is as a good opportunity to underline their preference for “natural” breasts. Go ahead, you will be duly noted. But when you’re done, please don’t forget to give positive comments to pictures of your liking as well (with or without breasts). It’s always smarter to give clicks and comments to artworks you actually like and thereby increasing their popularity.
Here are my thoughts on the subject: In an ideal world a woman’s choice for or against plastic surgery would be respected either way, but of course that’s not the world we live in. How much of a “free” choice is it really? After all women are under a lot of pressure to conform to some ideal of beauty. It’s a shame. And it gets worse: The pressure is even contradictory. There’s pressure to “get your boobs fixed” and there’s pressure to “not destroy your natural beauty”. No matter how you decide there’s still going to be pressure on you.
In my opinion no woman and no girl owes it to somebody or to society to conform to an ideal or even to look like a model. Let me be clear: You don’t have to look like this. I don’t look like this either. Heck, I’m not even a woman. I’m the photographer, by the way. People never look at me and scream: “Oh my god I’m in love!” Yes, sometimes I wished I had this power but my life turned out pretty okay without it. Maybe you’re even better of admiring beauty than possessing it. I don’t know. Some people believe if they look like a model the pressure will finally go away because they have arrived at the finish line but this is a big illusion. From working with models I know firsthand the pressure gets only worse.
Either way I think we should all be allowed to admire somebody for beautiful looks just as we are free to admire a singer for a great voice. It’s funny how you never hear people say “you reduce someone to an object” if you love a singer’s voice.
If there were “voice implants” to enhance a singer’s performance some people would probably argue if you have an implant you can’t have a beautiful voice – no matter how beautiful you sound! Why? Because you “sinned” against god or nature or whatever the thinking is. That’s not the way I see it. I think natural breasts (yes, I'm still talking about breasts the voice was only a metaphor) are beautiful and I also think Anjou is very beautiful with her implants…
These are just my thoughts and I don't want to force them down anybodies throat. Wow, you’re actually still reading? Thanks! Now I’m looking forward to read your comment.
