The whole set looks like a vampire film, a vampire haunting Nora, to make her his lover... and suddenly, we are the supernatural haunter, looking at her, but she can't notice us being around, ready to attack and conquer her senses as she have already conquered ours.
Beautiful image. The oblique angle used increases the image's impact, presenting different perspectives and drawing the eye of the viewer to look at the image differently to a more traditionally angled view. The impact of the model's appearance is increased by her crossed legs and black shoes close to the camera, her arms raised to her hair and her face partly in shadow. Another of the rich color images that I prefer, background that makes the entire image colorful without being too distracting. This includes the trace of light glancing off the mirror's gold frame and the wallpaper, the detail attractive but muted by the background shadows. In fact, use of light for the whole image is excellent.
I get reeeeeaaaaaal picky and critical with artistic nude shots on DA rather typically, but I won't lie, this is definitely a good one. I love the style of the backdrop, the inclusion of the mirror, and the rather tense and focussed look on the model's face really makes it for me. The portrayal of her position against this particular backdrop works because it has the ability to tell a story, and the lighting is perfect, especially against the gold hues across the entire portrait. It's not just some nude woman holding up her breasts and posing for the camera, and that really makes this picture a bit unique in the mesh of nude art and just plain attention-whoring work I often see on this site. I won't lie, the heels do seem to be a bit much, but overall, you win my vote. I really like it and I think it was done very well. Good work.
