gorgeous girl, great pose! really nicely chosen setting, especially the blue tiles. also the fact that she is standing in a very narrow shower sort of adds a hint of claustrophobia (underlined by the fact that she is NOT naked, which might make you think she's not in there by choice - then again, she does look far too comfortable, for lack of better term) Also the two starry points of light next to her arms fit very well to the whole image. great shot... thanks for sharing
I like this piece. I like how the fabric clings to her curves, and absolutely love the pose. The lights are a little bit distracting, but they also add a bit of a glow to her outline. Just wish we could see her face a bit better.
do you really understand what is said in that statement? EROTIC models, yes pornstars would be included in the erotic part. Also do you understand the exploitation that is being addressed?
(Just a side note) I enjoy art in many forms, artistic nudes are one of them. I am sick of seeing all the negative comments on artists galleries. If you aren't into art nudes, then move on. I'm not into shitty pop music that is thrust down our throats or these crappy young singers but I don't go around flaming them so art nudes should get the same respect.
Certainly not, there is a fine line between art and porn although there are a lot of images out there that blur the line a bit and it is up to each individual to decide for themselves whether it is porn or art. All I was saying was that porn stars can pose as erotic models.
Another thing is that (imo) if a person cannot agree with that last sentence than it is again a perfect example of similar exploitation that grosha77 is talking about. Why couldn't a porn star pose as an erotic model without being explicit or even pose for a department store catalog modeling clothes for that matter? I think that society needs to lighten up and not put their self-righteous views onto everyone they do not agree with.
That last bit was not directed at you (iMoushi) just a bit of a rant so to say.
Sounds fair to me. My little rule of thumb is; if it elicits thought and emotion it is an artistic nude. If it elicits a reaction in your pants or makes you feel dirty looking at it, it's porn. Easy peasy.
And like any other category, artistic nude is diluted by the people that submit crap pictures with no composition or quality. It's a shame. A lot of the pictures are low quality, noise filled pictures from a camera phone or something. :\
I certainly agree with you on this. There are a lot of good photographers on DA that are really good at what they do and there are definitely a lot of people on DA that submit crap that fortunately don't get a lot of popularity so they eventually go away. There are also a lot of people here that have good equipment that still produce crappy images. It is not so much the gear that makes the photographer, it's what that photographer does with his/her gear. One of my fav quotes is "the best camera a photographer can have is the one they have with them at the moment."
Check out this video, I love watching this guy and all his videos and this shows my fav quote in action. [link]
