Living Photos
LIVING PHOTOS
I'm experimenting with a new art form and I'm interested in your thoughts. Instead of photographing my favorite sights I filmed them the last time I went to Venice. In post production I selected the best sequences and put them on endless loop. The results are "Living Photos" (or "Cinemagraphs" as some people call them). Living Photos are just like like normal photos except sometimes there are people walking through the frame, you can see the lights swaying gently on the water and from time to time there's a boat passing by.

Is only a dead artist a good artist?
Why is death such an important step in the career of an artist? You would think to die is the worst career decision you can make in your life but for an artist sometimes the opposite is true. Maybe Michael Jackson didn’t actually “choose” to die but it certainly helped his popularity. Before his death he was ridiculed by the media over and over again but ever since people are ready to remember him for what was truly amazing about him: His talent to sing (and dance!) like no one else.
